Spreading awareness of animals in care

Our school and community visits

At the RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch, we believe that education is the key to creating a kinder world for animals. That’s why our dedicated team visits local schools and community groups to deliver engaging, age-appropriate talks about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. Please find feedback we have previously received from some of our visits below.

Thank you! The children took a lot out your presentation, and we really enjoyed having you (and Sandy) visit. I will definitely pass on your contact to other schools

Teacher, Primary School

We’d like to extend a big thank you to you for coming out to do your talk to our community group. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the talk, giving an insight into how your organisation works and how the donations are distributed.

Community work, Community group

Can I say a heartfelt thank you for taking the time to come out to Royds to deliver a much needed talk to our Year 11s. Kathryn tells me it was a powerful and therefore productive session.

Teacher, Secondary School

Thank you very much for taking the time to come to our school today even though you are very busy.  I will pass on your thanks as you asked. The children enjoyed the assembly and you made Francesca’s day by coming into school.
