Leaving a legacy

Securing a brighter future for animals

Gifts in wills

We are a self-funded local centre dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abused and injured animals. We receive no government funding and are a separate charity to the National RSPCA, we rely entirely on the generosity of supporters to continue our vital work. By leaving a gift in your will, you can make a lasting difference for animals in your community. Read more about leaving a gift in your will below.

Why leave a gift?

As part of the RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch, we care for some of the most abused, neglected and abandoned animals in our local community. It’s vital that we can always be here for those with nowhere else to turn. By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help provide life-saving treatment, rehabilitation and loving care, giving vulnerable animals the chance to enjoy safe, happy lives for years to come.

How to leave a gift

To ensure your gift benefits our branch, please include the following wording in your Will:

“I give the sum of ________ (or a share of my residuary estate) to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch CIO (registered charity number 1210235), and I declare that the receipt of the honorary treasurer or other proper officer of the said Branch shall be a full and sufficient discharge of the said legacy.”

Specifying our branch ensures your gift directly supports local animals. For more information, please contact info@rspcaleedsandwakefield.org.uk or call 07714733309

Forever Paws Scheme

Our Forever Paws Scheme is designed to offer reassurance that your pet will be cared for in the event of you no longer being here anymore.

If the Branch is notified under these circumstances, we will arrange for your pet to come into our care and begin the process of finding them a suitable, loving new home.
