Microchipping event, Aug 2010
18/7/2010
do you have a pet that isn''''''''t yet microchipped? We are holding a FREE microchipping, flea and worming day on 17th august 2010 in Wakefield for those that are in receipt of a means tested stated benefit.
The event will be held at the St George''''''''s Community centre, between 10.30 and 3.30
The Identichip is a permanent form of identification that unlike a collar, is there for life. The chip is inserted into the scruff of the neck and is the size and shape of a grain of rice. The only thing that you will need to do is provide all the details that you would like registering on the Petlog database, remembering that any change of address or telephone number in the future will need to be changed on the national Petlog database.
On the day please ensure all dogs are secure on leads and all cats are in suitable secure pet carriers.
Although a microchip is permanent means of identification it does not replace the legal need for your dog to wear an ID tag.
