Be a part of our vital animal welfare work in the Leeds, Wakefield and five towns area and become a Friend of the Leeds, Wakefield & District RSPCA.

The Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch of the RSPCA services a very large area in what is, unfortunately, the cruelty capital of the UK.

We care for, rehabilitate, and find loving new homes for over a 600 animals a year and we also support essential major projects such as micro-chipping and low cost neutering.

For us to provide this ongoing service, it costs us £325,000 a year, equivalent to over £900 a day.

We receive no money from the state, the lottery or the national RSPCA. We are an independent charity and are, therefore, entirely self-funding and rely on you - our supporters - to help.

This is why we've set up our Friends Scheme. For as little as £3 a month, you can make a real difference to the lives of so many animals;

Animals like Lassie, a dog who nearly starved to death while her owners cruelly watched on;

Or a cat called Fudge, whose owner poured boiling oil all over his body;

Or Buster, an elderly rabbit found dumped in a box inside a wheelie bin.

The Leeds, Wakefield & District RSPCA exists to care for and ultimately find loving, caring homes for abused, neglected and unwanted animals.  Please help us – even a small monthly donation can make a real difference:

• £3 will pay to worm and de-flea a cat or dog when they come into our care.
• £6 will pay for a microchip or feed a medium size dog for a week.
• £10 will pay for a veterinary health check or pay for the food to hand rear 2 orphaned kittens from birth to weaning.

With Friends like you the Leeds, Wakefield & District RSPCA can make a real difference to the lives of even more unwanted, abused and neglected animals.
